“The firmness of the religion is due to enjoining what is good and forbidding what is wrong, and observing the limits of Allah (swt).”

Grades 8-12: Register by Feb. 27 for Mar. 6th Onsite Workshop at JCC (10:30 am – 2:30 pm)
InshaAllah, we will be conducting an onsite workshop for Grades 8-12 (Youth Forum) students on Sunday, March 6th, at JCC (9000 Bathurst Street). The topic will be ‘Being a Resilient Muslim’ and our guest speaker and teachers are planning an interesting and interactive workshop to help students handle the challenges of being a practicing Muslim. A session on Bulugh will also be included for students in Grades 8-10.
The registration link has been shared with students via Google Classrooms and is due by Feb. 27th. A Screening form will also need to be completed the day prior to the onsite workshop, and all attendees must be vaccinated, wear a mask, and adhere to social distancing requirements.
We hope this ‘in person’ workshop will enable classmates to meet each other after a long time and help them to be strong and proud Muslims. Please encourage your child(ren) to submit the registration and questionnaire which has been posted in Google Classrooms. There will be no online classes for Grades 8-12 on March 6th.
A lot of planning and preparation is required to conduct the workshops and parents are requested to bring students who have registered for the workshop to JCC by 10:30 am on March 6th. Many thanks to all the volunteers for helping with this initiative.
Online classes will be held as usual for Grades 1-7; inshaAllah, an onsite workshop for these grades will be held in the coming months.
Tips for Success
InshaAllah, we’ll try to provide a tip for success in each of our upcoming updates. We hope that this will be helpful. If you have any tips you would like to share with parents, please send them to admin@al-haadi.ca, subject “Tips for Success”.
Tip of the week:
In addition to establishing a practice for children to recite the Holy Quran or practice using the Quran manual for 10-15 min. each day, one other way to learn Quran is to play recording of Quran recitation at bed-time. This becomes part of the sub-conscious. Play smaller surahs for the young ones from the 30th Juzz and move to other passages as they grow older.
