Grades 8-12 March 6th Onsite Workshop at JCC (10:30 am – 2:30 pm)

InshaAllah, we will be conducting an onsite workshop for Grades 8-12 (Youth Forum) students on Sunday, March 6th, at JCC (9000 Bathurst Street).  The topic will be ‘Being a Resilient Muslim’ and our guest speaker and teachers are planning an interesting and interactive workshop to help students handle the challenges of being a practising Muslim. A session on Bulugh will also be included for students in Grades 8-10.

Pre-registration is required by Feb. 27, along with screening the day prior to the onsite workshop, and all attendees must be vaccinated, wear a mask, and adhere to social distancing requirements.

InshaAllah, this workshop will enable classmates to meet each other in person after a long time and help them to be strong and proud Muslims. Please encourage your child(ren) to submit the registration which will be posted in Google Classrooms within next couple of days. There will be no online classes for Grades 8-12 on March 6th.

Online classes will be held as usual for Grades 1-7; inshaAllah, an onsite workshop for these grades will be held in the coming months.

A lot of planning and preparation is required to conduct the workshops and classes; many thanks to all the volunteers for helping with these initiatives.

Tips for Success

InshaAllah, we’ll try to provide a tip for success in each of our upcoming updates.  We hope that this will be helpful. If you have any tips you would like to share with parents, please send them to admin@al-haadi.ca, subject “Tips for Success”.

Today’s tip:
Establish a practice of having your child recite Quran for 10-15 min loudly on a daily basis. Pick one time that works and make it a routine. Doing this before or after breakfast before heading out to school sets a good habit. Just like breakfast is important for nutrition of the body, Quran nourishes the soul and strengthens memory too. You might get some resistance at the beginning but eventually it will become easier. What a great way to start the day!
