A warm welcome to all our returning and new volunteers, and all our returning and new parents and students. We are super excited to see all of you, inshaAllah, tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 7 for the Info session and meet the teachers session. Many thanks to all our awesome dedicated volunteers who have spent time during the summer to prepare for the new year. Also thanks to all the parents for entrusting your child(ren) with us and for your much appreciated suggestions and feedback.

Logistics for Sept. 7:
– information session for all parents and students. Parents to supervise child(ren) and accompany them to classrooms for the 2nd session.
– doors open at 10:30 am; enter from Gate of Sadiq (a) #6 (around the corner from Gate of Zahra (a) #1.
– go downstairs to Marhaba Hall B (ladies to use stairs #1, gents to use circular stairs near #6 or stairs #5.
Agenda:
– 10:45: General info session about Al-Haadi programs & policies
– 11:20: Parents to accompany students to classroom (grades 1-3 on 1st floor; grades 4-12 on 2nd floor)
– 11:30: Session 1: Meet the teachers and curriculum update (if you have more than one child, go to grades 1-3 or grade 12 session first)
– 12:20: Session 2: Repeat of session 1 (for parents with more than one child)
– 1:15: salaat in Masjid e Ghadeer (ISIJ)
– 2 – 7 pm Carnival (ISIJ) (Test your knowledge and fun games at our Booth hosted by our amazing Student Council).

Key Enhancements for 2025-2026

We are committed to continuous improvement and doing our best to provide a quality Islamic learning environment for all students. Many thanks to all who provided feedback at our year end survey. Some key changes for this year are:
– phased rollout of MCE’s new Tarbiyah Quran Curriculum (TQC) for recitation
– enhancements to Quran Tafseer and Hifd curriculum for Grades 7-11
– rollout of MCE’s new Tarbiyah dinyat lessons for Grades 5 & 6
– use of Whatsapp Community for parent updates based on majority vote at year end feedback survey. Use of general weekly email updates (such as this one) will be phased out in Sept.  Please ensure at least one parent has joined our Whatsapp community so you don’t miss important announcements.

– enhancements to Student Behavior policy based on feedback from parents and volunteers.
– continuation of no cellphone use by students 10:45 am – 2:30 pm based on majority vote at year end feedback survey.
– additional training for teachers
– fun activities to commemorate wiladats and potential optional overnight retreat for older students.

Community Service Award Program for 2025-2026

The Community Service Award program for students has already started… all volunteering hours from June 1, 2025 – May 31, 2026 can count towards the minimum criteria.  See below for details.  Students need to keep a log of the volunteering service.

Call for Volunteers

We would like a few more Quran and Dinyat Teachers, Salaat/Wudhu assessors and traffic/safety volunteers for 2025/2026. Training will be provided. Please join our team to enhance programs for students and to have a fulfilling experience.
