There will be no classes on Sunday, March 13th due to March Break; online classes for all grades will inshaAllah, resume on March 20th.
Alhamdulillah, we had a successful in person workshop on March 6th for Grades 8-12 students and Milad related activities in the online classes. Many thanks to all the volunteers and participants. InshaAllah, we’ll look into the feasibility of an onsite workshop for Grades 1-7 in May.

March Break Challenge
Parents are requested to encourage child(ren) to participate in the the March Break Challenge which is based on reciting the Holy Quran and reflecting on what has been learnt/can be applied. Details have been posted in all Quran Google Classrooms.

Al-Haadi 2021/2022 Charity Campaign
MashaAllah, total collected as of Mar. 8, 2022: $9,156.65.
In the past couple of weeks, someone donated $1,000 but did not specify any class; if you know who the donor was, please ask him/her to forward the receipt to admin@al-haadi.ca along with a message indicating which class(es) to allocate the donation.
See below for the classes’ leaderboard. D7B has stayed in the lead and D11A has moved from 5th into 3rd place. Good job, all classes. Thank you for your fundraising activities and donations to help provide WATER AID in remote areas and to SUPPORT ORPHANS, WIDOWS & VULNERABLE CHILDREN.
Donate online via https://zahrafoundation.ca/al-haadi/ , select package, and when checking out, enter ‘Al-Haadi’ and the student’s dinyat class (e.g. Al-Haadi D6A) in the Additional Information section, so we can track donations by class.
All donations will receive a tax receipt from The Zahra Foundation. The winning class will win a prize at the end of the campaign!

Tips for Success
Pray together as a family. Try praying at least one set of Salat like Maghribain all together. Pray in jamaat format. Let the kids take turns and recite Adhaan, Iqamah and read duas after the salat. The key is to ensure they are doing all the recitations loudly. You can even have children lead the salat and you pray with them. That really boosts their confidence and makes them want to do it again and again. This can be started with kids even as as young as 4 or 5 years old.
