We wish you and your family a joyous Wiladat Mubarak on the birth anniversary of our beloved Lady of Light, Bibi Fatema Zahra (a).

We are excited to begin Term 2 with a wiladat celebration hosted by our Student Council.  We are continuing with online classes due to the pandemic and our dedicated Teachers are doing their best to make the classes fun and interactive. Parents are requested to encourage children to keep their videos on during class as it greatly enhances the learning experience and helps the Teachers. Unfortunately there have been instances where students have connected but don’t seem to be present in the virtual classroom since they are not participating or responding to questions. Students who keep their videos off will be marked absent if they are not responsive.

This update includes:

1. Jan. 23 3 pm – wiladat of Bibi Fatema (a) celebration
2. Charity Initiative – water aid & support for orphans, widows & vulnerable children

Jan. 23 @ 3 pm – Virtual Celebration for wiladat of Bibi Fatema (a) 

Al-Haadi Student Council cordially invites all students, parents, teachers and admin volunteers to participate in the celebration via Zoom. We will celebrate the birth anniversary of our beloved, Bibi Fatema (as) with a Jeopardy game amongst the students.

Families to join the Zoom meeting room and use the Participants Rename option to specify student name(s) and dinyat classes, e.g., Fatema-d7a & Ali-d9b. The name used for the connection will be used to create teams and identify the winning team members.  All students that join will be able to play. It will be a fun opportunity to celebrate the birth anniversary of Bibi Fatema (a) with your peers.

Al-Haadi 2021/2022 Charity Campaign

In collaboration with Az-Zahra Foundation, we pledge to provide WATER AID in remote areas and to SUPPORT ORPHANS, WIDOWS & VULNERABLE CHILDREN. See flyer below.

Total collected as of Jan. 18, 2022: $4,735. See below for the classes’ leaderboard. The classes are very close in positions. D10B is in the lead and D12/YF, D7B, D11A, D1B are very close behind.

Donate online via https://zahrafoundation.ca/al-haadi/ , select package, and when checking out, enter ‘Al-Haadi’ and the student’s dinyat class (e.g. Al-Haadi D3A) in the Additional Information section, so we can track donations by class.

All donations will receive a tax receipt.  The winning class will win a prize at the end of the campaign!
